Erawan Thai Cuisine opened for business in August of 1999. As Thai Cuisine became more popular in Manhattan, Mr. Paul Lim, the owner and founder of Erawan Thai Cuisine, Bayside, wanted to upgrade Thai cooking by using fresh Thai ingredients with high quality Western product focusing on beef and seafood.
Erawan Thai Cuisine has found sophisticated and experienced palate in this first outer borough location. The restaurant was one of the first Thai restaurants to use high quality beef featuring Sirloin Steak on its regular menu and Porterhouse Steak as one of our chef’s Weekly Specials. Erawan also served filet fish such as Chilean Seabass, Tuna, and freshly imported seafood from Australia, New Zealand, the Mediteranean and Hawaii to create new and exciting specials daily. Some of our extremely popular and signature dishes are Porterhouse with Thai Chilli Paste served with spicy dip, New zealand rack of lamb with lemongrass, 1 1/2 lb. Canadian Whole Lobster Pad Thai, Lobster Fried Rice, and Soft Shell Crab with Mango Sauce. This combined with a sophisticated wine list including Erawan’s private label seem to offer our customer a satisfying dining experience.
Since the combination proved to be very successful, Erawan Seafood and Steak was created in 2005 to extend from our regular Thai menu into one that specialized in Seafood and Steak. With added focus on presentation and high end items, Erawan Seafood and Steak has been gaining diners on a regular basis, proving the neighborhood’s acceptance for high end cuisine.
